The first book in a dystopian romance trilogy.
"Time is something we can't control. We may think we have plenty of it but it ticks past so quickly, before we know it, its run out."
I never knew I needed saving until he came for me. This stranger who removes me from all I’ve ever known. Hinting at secrets I should be aware of but can’t fathom. I’m caught up in something… something huge or so he says, yet he refuses to tell me. Memories have been discarded and he begs for me to fight for them … to remember him… to remember us.
To remember the life I’m living, the life I'm apparently going through the motions with, just isn’t the truth. The truth hurts and therefore is easier to numb, to submerge myself in forgetfulness. But my life isn’t the only one at stake and for that reason alone I have to seek the truth in all it’s heartbreak, in all the confusing turmoil. I have to find the answers and only one place can give them all...
Advance Industries.
This is the first book in a trilogy. If you are allergic to over the top mushiness or cannot stomach excessive bad language, this book isn't for you.

Genre: Sci Fi
Set in a future world where science is right on the brink of inventing teleportation, Faith Elaina finds herself caught up in a conspiracy that will change her life—and the future—forever.
Here’s what I liked about this book:
• This is a very unique, very inventive story line. I was caught up right away in the intrigue, mystery and danger of it all. It’s very well written with a fast-paced rhythm. The story never lags and the intrigue continues from page 1 to the very last.
• The characters are relatable and well-drawn. I like Faith immediately and detested Johnson and Fraser just as much. You will too!
• The “science” stuff wasn’t above me. Some authors, when writing sci-fi tend to over-explain their futuristic “stuff”. I don’t have an engineering degree; nor do I have a doctorate in all things 30th century…yet, most authors assume that I do. THIS author did not. Because of the way she wrote, I understood that this device or that one was meant for transportation, teleportation or communication without feeling as if I needed to be scientist or an engineer. At the same time, I didn’t feel “talked down to” either.
• The love story was sweet. There weren’t a lot of SEX scenes…which was good. They weren’t necessary. Sometimes writers tend to believe that the gratuitous sex is what makes their book great. Sometimes, that’s true. But, they weren’t needed here and I appreciated that.
• The other thing I found very exciting was that while the story is set in the future…our future…elements of the even-further-future came into play as well. Time travel, not yet invented in the beginning of the story happens when travelers from the character’s future show up! It’s really a fun twist.
Here’s what I didn’t like:
• While the love story was indeed sweet, and it wasn’t cram-packed with gratuitous sex, it WAS packed with lots and lots of “mushy stuff” (as my grand-daughter calls it). Kye (a time-traveler from the future) a big Marine-type guy, muscle-bound and soldier-y, the leader of a squad of futuristic warriors, was constantly talking to others and himself about how much he loves Faith. Don’t get me wrong, women like to be told they’re loved and we like to read about great love stories. However, these “mushy” moments appeared in some of the most awkward places—right in the middle of a rescue; while punches were being thrown and lives were in danger—Kye (seemed like) would stop the action to think about how much he loves her and how he can’t live without her and how wonderful she is…sweet…but… just awkward placement. Even when it happened at appropriate times...it was just too much. The "mushy" feelings, or at least the way they were described, just didn't fit the character. Soldier types are supposed to be the strong, silent type; not the Iloveyouiloveyouiloveyou all the time types. I don't know. It just didn't fit for me.
Other than that… I had no other complaints. The book is well written; the characters were complex. The story line was believable and relatable. It’s a great read!
I would recommend it to anyone.

Advance Advance Industries Book 1 eBook K A Duggsy selfpubbookcovers/shardel Reviews
One of the worst things about evil people is that they don’t know their evil, and K.A. Duggsy paints a vivid portrait of this. Advance Industries is ripe with evil scientists at their worst. Our heroine Faith has been used and abused and turned inside out. Her struggle to remember who she is, while trying to save herself, kept me turning the pages into the night.
First-person present-tense can be tricky, and there were moments throughout the story where I felt as though the story was being told to me, instead of feeling a part of the action and the emotion. However, Duggsy provides us with three first-person viewpoints, and each have their own unique voice, never leaving me in doubt about who’s head I was in. The plot was well-planned, and the characters believable. The final scene between Kye and Faith had me holding my breath. I can’t wait to read book 2.
Wow I loved this book and the gritty dystopian world imagined within..... Faith embarks on a crusade to expose the clandestine activities of Advance Industries and to fight for those who have been disenfranchised...but nothing is as straightforward as it seems leading to a fast paced, thrilling storyline...
The characters were wonderfully detailed and genuine..Faith is a strong resilient young woman and Kye is swoon worthy with his protective and supportive attitude towards Faith...even the bad guys have a worthy place in the cast and all together provide the light and dark which makes this book so compelling...
An addictive 4.5 star read with an intriguing plot and a captivating romance....I received a copy of this book from the author via the Quirky Blind Date with a Book group....
Faith is a reporter with a mysterious past that she has forgotten. When she is captured by the enigmatic Kye after trying to expose Advance Industries, Faith finds there is more to the story, or her life, than she first thought.
The author takes us, and the spunky Faith, on a roller coaster ride through a dystopian nightmare of a timeline where a corporation has unlimited power, and humans have become nothing more than lab rats for sociopathic scientists.
Time travel novels have always fascinated me, and this one did not disappoint my expectations. For those who also enjoy a romance blended with mystery, this might be your book to read.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, especially the characters and their interactions, I would have given this book a higher rating if only it had been edited more thoroughly. I want to be clear that this is the only beef I have with this book. K.A. Duggsy is an excellent story-teller, and knows how to keep the action going, and the reader hooked.
I would look forward to reading more from her.
Advance Industries is a dystopian tale set in the middle of the Old World of the past and the new dystopian future. In a very well thought out society, we follow the main character, Faith, as her life is altered again and again by people who want nothing more than to use her for their own nefarious purposes.
The Advance Industries leaders do not see their purpose as evil or bad, and the author really does a great job of showcasing one scientist's delusions, and how he really thinks what he is doing is a good thing. The hints of a psychopath lay underneath, however, and you are left wondering which side of his personality will truly prevail.
There is a love story here, too. Faith and her love from another time, face several trials of the heart. After being used her whole life by the Evil Advance Industries, we cheer her on as she finds her memories and her heart and soul.
A quick, enjoyable read, and now I want to know what happens next!
